Emily Procter

 

American actress Emily Mallory Procter, born on the 8th of October, 1968, is also an activist. She played Ainsley Hayes's character in The West Wing, a NBC political drama (2000-2002 and 2006), and Det. Calleigh Duquesne was an actor on a CBS police procedural drama titled CSI: Miami (2002–2012).



 



 Childhood and early life



 Procter was born on the 8th of October 1968. At the age of a newborn, she was adopted by William Procter (a general practitioner) and Barbara Jones (a volunteer worker). They raised her in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was 3 years old at the time her parents divorced. Whit, her older brother is also adopted.



 



 Ravenscroft School was where Procter attended school in Raleigh. While attending East Carolina University, Procter became a member Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Procter was employed as a television news anchor at WNCT in Greenville, North Carolina. She later graduated with degrees in journalism dance.
